I'm Avishay Shabtai, founder of Urban Body and an APP-certified professional piercer with over 20 years of experience. Over the years I've performed thousands of piercings while upholding the highest standards of safety, precision, and aesthetics, at our piercing studio on Bograshov Street — minutes from Dizengoff Center, Sheinkin and King George.
Urban Body is the first studio in Israel to become an official member of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP), and we work according to the strictest international standards.

We pierce from age 16. Tongue, nipple and genital piercings are performed from age 18 only. Under 16, a parent or legal guardian must be present with valid ID, and the decision remains at the piercer's professional discretion. AFTERCARE
Proper aftercare is just as important as the piercing itself. Following these guidelines supports healthy healing, reduces irritation, and helps your body recover as smoothly as possible.
How to Care for It
Clean with Sterile Saline
Twice a day, clean the area using sterile saline solution directly from the bottle, without touching the piercing itself.
Rinse in the Shower
During each shower, rinse the piercing with running water for about 30 seconds, without touching or moving the jewelry.
One-Month Check-Up
After about a month, we recommend coming in to the studio on Bograshov Street for a check-up. If needed, we'll downsize to a shorter bar once swelling has gone down.
What to Avoid
Don't Touch the Piercing
Avoid touching, twisting, or playing with the jewelry. The less you handle it, the better it will heal.
Avoid Pressure
Try not to sleep on the piercing, and avoid pressure or friction on the area during healing.
Sea, Pools & Water
For the first one to two months, avoid the sea, pools, hot tubs, and other natural bodies of water — including Bograshov Beach, five minutes from the studio.

How do I book a piercing appointment?

Is there a good piercing shop near Dizengoff Center?
Yes — URBAN BODY is at 42 Bograshov St, roughly a 7-minute walk from Dizengoff Center and 5 minutes from Bograshov Beach. Parking is available at Beit Lessin and the Dizengoff Center garages.
Is there a piercing studio near Sheinkin or King George?
Yes. URBAN BODY is on Bograshov Street, about a ten-minute walk from both Sheinkin and King George, and the same from Allenby, Ben Yehuda and the Carmel Market. Nachalat Binyamin is roughly fifteen minutes. Most people walk over, but there is paid parking at Beit Lessin and the Dizengoff Center garages if you drive.
Can I walk in without an appointment?
Yes, when we have availability — and since we're central, a lot of people do exactly that on their way past. Consultations are free and take about ten minutes, so it's worth stopping in even if you only want to talk through options. Booking ahead is still the only way to guarantee a slot, especially on Fridays.
Do you do nose piercing?
Yes. We perform nostril, high nostril, septum and bridge piercings — always with a sterile single-use needle, never a piercing gun. Nostril piercing costs ₪150 for execution plus ₪150 and up for titanium jewelry, and is fitted to your nose's shape and tissue thickness.
Does getting a piercing hurt?
Pain levels vary from person to person and depend on the piercing location. In most cases it's a brief moment of discomfort — we work quickly and professionally to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
How much does a piercing cost at URBAN BODY?
Pricing has two parts: execution and jewelry. Execution ranges from ₪100 (lobe) to ₪250 (daith, industrial), and titanium jewelry starts from ₪150. What makes a piercing studio safe?
Single-use sterile needles, autoclave-sterilized tools with routine spore testing, implant-grade jewelry, and a piercer trained to recognize which anatomy can safely take which placement. URBAN BODY is the first studio in Israel accepted as an official member of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP) and works to their standards.
How long does a piercing take to heal?
Healing time depends on the type of piercing and how carefully you follow aftercare instructions. Lobe piercings typically heal within a few months, while cartilage piercings can take longer. Detailed instructions are given after every piercing.
Do I need to book in advance?
Booking ahead is recommended to guarantee availability, and you can arrange it by phone or WhatsApp. Opening hours are Sunday–Thursday 12:00–19:00 and Friday 12:00–15:00.
What is the minimum age for a piercing?

Contact us and we'll be glad to help, assess the situation, and guide you. Ongoing professional support through your healing is part of the service.
Can I get multiple piercings in the same visit?
In most cases, yes — depending on your anatomy, the placements requested, and our professional judgment.
Can I come in for a follow-up check?
Absolutely. We recommend a follow-up visit about a month after the piercing — we'll check the healing and make adjustments if needed.
